Gor mahia invited to Liverpool to face premier league giants.

Gor Mahia striker Jacques Tuyisenge says that K’Ogalo are eying a victory when they play Everton in a friendly match in Liverpool.

Everton are expected to host Sportpesa Premier League giants Gor Mahia at Goodison Park on November 6 starting 10 pm at the Goodison Park, but Gor Mahia will be heading into the match with vengeance written all over their face, having lost to a Wayne Rooney inspire Everton in Tanzania, July 2017.

Gor Mahia’s Tuyisenge canceled out Rooney’s opener just two minutes later after the former Manchester United striker had given Everton the lead in the 35th minute with a long-range shot , a match played in  Dar es Salaam.

In a match that saw Everrton  beat them 2-1 in the first-ever meeting between both sides, Tuyisenge says:  “Every game is different, but as I’ve said, we must pick a win at Goodison Park. I’m one of the strikers, so we must score goals.”

Tuyisenge admitted that he is yet to recover fully but remained hopeful that he will be fit to face the English Premier League side. “I have not fully recovered, but am almost there. Treatment is going on well and I hope I’ll be ready by November.”

Tuyisenge will be missing a key figure, his former attacking partner, Meddie Kagere, when he lines up against Everton, but that is not much of a problem to the goal poacher.

“Meddie was so important for us (Gor Mahia) and it’s not easy to find a perfect replacement for a player of his caliber. He left before we won the league. What we did as strikers (when he left), was to help the team win the KPL title so that it doesn’t look like his exit affected the team.”

Gor Mahia visit to Liverpool will be a historic one in that it will be the first time a club from East Africa is playing in the UK soil.
