Benjamin Pavard made a name for himself following his World Cup performance and now his agent is offering his services to Barcelona. The Stuttgart defender played a key role in France’s success this summer and his agent appears to be capitalising on this by reaching out to the La Liga giants.
The versatile Frenchman can play at both right and centre-back and was wanted by several clubs across Europe this summer, but stayed with the Bundesliga outfit.
However, according to Sources this will be his last year with the German side and he will be let go to a side that meet the £30m price tag. Barca filled their gaps in defence this summer, so are not in a rush to bring the World Champion on board, but are prepared to reconsider their position next summer.
Pavard shot to stardom during the World Cup in Russia and his strike against Argentina was named goal of the tournament. The 22-year-old featured for France during their clash with Germany this weekend, but ended up having to come off after suffering an injury.
He received a stamp to the next by Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, which left marks on his neck, but the German defender quickly apologised.
