Tottenham Hotspur refusing to refund Manchester City fans

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly refusing to refund Manchester City supporters their travel costs for next month’s rearranged Premier League match.

The Lilywhites have been granted permission to switch the fixture to Wembley Stadium on Monday, October 29 as work on their new ground will not be completed in time.

City intend to reimburse all coach and train tickets bought by fans who can no longer attend the match, while also providing free travel for those who can still make it.

According to The Sun, the Citizens asked Tottenham to help cover some of the costs as a good-will gesture, but the Lilywhites are refusing to do so.

A City source is quoted by the publication as saying: “The conversations with Tottenham didn’t go anywhere so we decided to go ahead and make plans. We wanted to do the right thing by our fans.

Spurs capped tickets for away fans at £30 prior to it being rearranged at short notice after downgrading the match to category B status.
