Maurizio Sarri admits he was left in the dark over his dismissal from SSC Napoli earlier this summer.
The Italian has also revealed that he learnt of Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment as Napoli manager despite remaining contracted to the club. Meanwhile, Sarri has made a perfect start to Premier League life with Chelsea taking 12 points from a possible 12.

Following a summer of controversy at Napoli, Maurizio Sarri was finally released from his Napoli contract amid a messy fall out with the club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Sarri remained contracted to Napoli despite being sacked by De Laurentiis and seeing Carlo Ancelotti arrive as the club’s new manager.
Chelsea agreed to buy the 59-year-old out of his contract to replace Antonio Conte.
Speaking about his departure, Sarri has admitted he is unsure why he was sacked and how his discovered he had been replaced by Ancelotti via television.
Sarri told Gianluca di Marzio:
“I found out of Ancelotti’s appointment at Napoli from the TV while I was at dinner with one of Giuntoli’s staff members.
“We were discussing my future, if I stayed or not. I don’t know why I am not at Napoli anymore, ask the club.
“Now I am at Chelsea and I’m happy about it.
“The release clause in my contract with Napoli expired on May 31st, but De Laurentiis appointed Ancelotti on the 21st.
“I hope Ancelotti can succeed where I failed, the city and the supporters deserve to win the Scudetto.”
