Jurgen Klopp makes hilarious suggestion about Naby Keita

Keita made a good impression once again at Selhurst Park on Monday as Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners at Crystal Palace. The former RB Leipzig star produced another near immaculate display as the Reds maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign with two victories from their first two matches.

Keita, who officially joined earlier this summer, has already shown glimpses of his talent.

And Klopp believes there is still a lot more to come from the Guinean midfielder. “He’s a very shy person so he’s not very extroverted on the pitch!” Klopp said.

“He needs to settle a bit – he’s next to Sadio [Mane] all the time.“Everyone loves Naby, but we don’t know if he loves us, because he doesn’t speak a lot!

“Football wise, you can see the potential is outstanding but you have to give him time. Defensively, he has to work on that.Tactically he has to improve, so there’s a lot to come. But what else, I don’t know.”

Klopp, meanwhile, admitted his side haven’t hit top gear, but insists he was happy with the result. They tried to cause us problems with the long balls,” Klopp added.

“I don’t know a lot of centre-backs in the world who can deal with Christian Benteke like Virgil van Dijk did tonight.

“It was difficult for us to be completely safe in this situation but we were there and we helped each other avoid big problems.

“It was not a brilliant performance – our full-backs can play 70 or 80 per cent better – but I’m very happy with the result.”

Jurgen Klopp refused to comment on Manchester City following the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. The Reds were dogged in securing a victory over Roy Hodgson’s side.James Milner netted a penalty on the stroke of half-time after Mo Salah was brought down by Mamadou Sakho. And Sadio Mane secured all three points in injury time after a swift counter-attack.
Liverpool boss Klopp said: “We can play better football. It was a really intense first half so it wasn’t easy to make the right decisions.
