Man City ready for World Cup record!

Not content with crushing Premier League records by the modest bunch, Manchester City will set one at the World Cup!

The Blues will have a STAGGERING 17 stars performing in Russia, an expansion of seven on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and the greatest unexpected from one club ever of competition.

That implies that the Blues, out of the blue, are the best-spoke to club at the finals, in front of Real Madrid, whose 16 call-ups would have ben a record had it not been bested by City.

The past most noteworthy figure was 15, set by Arsenal in 2006.

While the call-ups are a respect, particularly with home country England picking four Blues, and top choices Brazil calling up Ederson, Danilo, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus, there is another side to it.

City will head into the pre-season with a skeleton squad, and with the greater part of their cutting edge stars associated with the competition, aside from record marking Aymeric Laporte, their players will get little rest this late spring.

That could hand preference to Premier League rivals, who all have far less players included.

Manchester United will have 11 players at the finals, while Tottenham have 12, and Arsenal and Liverpool seven each.
