Kenyan international and Tottenham Hostspur midfielder Victor Wanyama was not mincing his words when he hosted Chapa Dimba na Safaricom champions at Wembley during the final match of the season.
Wanyama challenged the youngsters and talented Kenyans in general to work hard and smart as they chase their dream of playing professionally since any talent hunter could be watching them from a far.
“There are no two ways about it but working hard as I did and someone noticed me. Wherever you are be it lower leagues always give the best and the opportunities will come since you never know who is watching you. Always believe in yourself ,” he stated.
Kapenguria Heroes from West Pokot and Plateau Queens from Nyanza won the 2017/18 Chapa Dimba tournament to win a trip to London where they were hosted by Wanyama as the season closed.
